Hanft Fride Announces Promotion of Leah Fisher to Shareholder
Duluth, MN: Hanft Fride is proud to welcome Leah Fisher as the firm’s newest shareholder, effective January 1, 2018. Fisher’s promotion strengthens Hanft Fride’s family law offering, as Fisher has focused her practice on family law since joining the firm in 2015.
“This promotion is very well deserved,” said Jennifer Carey, President of Hanft Fride. “Leah Fisher has been an outstanding addition to our team for nearly three years, and we’re proud to welcome her as a shareholder.”
Fisher obtained her Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the Seattle University School of Law and is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota. She concentrates her practice in the area of family law. She represents individuals in a broad range of matters including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, adoption, and other general family matters. She has also served as a third-party evaluator for custody and parenting time disputes.
“I’m very passionate about helping families through legal matters,” said Fisher. “I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to share their story and have their voice heard. As a shareholder, I look forward to honing my practice and better serving my clients.”
Prior to joining Hanft Fride, Fisher worked for the Volunteer Attorney Program in Duluth providing pro bono legal services to low income individuals in our community. Fisher continues to work with the Volunteer Attorney Program as a volunteer attorney and has been recognized by the State Bar Association for her commitment to providing pro bono representation.
Fisher is a 2017 graduate of the Leadership Duluth program. She has served on the 11th District Bar Association Board of Directors, is the past-president of the local chapter of Minnesota Women Lawyers and is currently the chair of the local family law committee.
