Recognized since 1989, marking 38 consecutive years in The Best Lawyers in America, Burns advises clients on private and public financing, healthcare business issues, mergers and acquisitions and real estate development. His clients include businesses, banks, developers, educational institutions and medical professionals,
and he is a strong supporter of legal services for low-income individuals.

Jennifer Carey, Real Estate Law and Trust and Estates
Carey has been listed in Best Lawyers since 2012 for Real Estate Law and since 2018 for Trusts and Estates, marking 15 and 9 years of recognition respectively. Focusing on real estate and estate planning, she represents property owners, developers, lenders, associations and families in complex real estate transactions and planning matters. She has earned repeated recognition as a Minnesota “Super Lawyer,” including Top 100 and Top 50 Women lists, and has been listed in Best Lawyers since 2013.

Cheryl Prince, Family Law
Prince has been recognized in Best Lawyers since 2013 for Family Law, marking her 14th consecutive year of recognition. She is a leading family law attorney with more than 30 years of experience handling divorce, adoption, custody and prenuptial agreements. A Qualified Rule 114 Neutral, she also serves as a mediator for the Minnesota Court of Appeals family court mediation project.

Jake Baker, Trust and Estates
Baker, recognized for the first time in the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for his work in Trusts and Estates, concentrates his practice in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. A Qualified Rule 114 Neutral, he frequently resolves family law cases through Early Neutral Evaluation and mediation.

Andresen is honored posthumously for his inclusion in Best Lawyers for Litigation and Real Estate. Recognized since 2018, this marks his 9th consecutive year of recognition.
