Scott A. Witty is civil litigation lawyer and also practices employment law. He represents insured and uninsured parties in employment, personal injury, contract, trust and real property disputes. He also assists employers with hiring, termination, and drafting personnel policies.
During law school, he served as a production editor for the Hamline Journal of Public Law and Policy. Prior to joining Hanft Fride in 2007, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Heather L. Sweetland, Sixth Judicial District. Witty is licensed to practice in the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and in the U.S. District Courts for Minnesota, the Western District of Wisconsin, and the Western District of Michigan. He is also admitted to practice in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Witty is a 2010 Leadership Duluth graduate and has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Minnesota Law and Politics magazine, an honor given to 2.5% of the attorneys under 40 years old in Minnesota since 2011.
