Ms. Prince practices exclusively in family law and mediation.  She has over 28 years of experience working with clients to address the full range of issues involved with divorce, adoption, paternity and prenuptial agreements.  She has handled cases involving both simple and complex property division, business valuation, maintenance and custody matters.  She has also served as a mediator in a wide range of disputes including family, personal injury and employment discrimination.

Ms. Prince has been recognized by her peers as a “Super Lawyer” each year since 2006 and has been listed in Best Lawyers of America, each year since 2013.  She is also listed on the Minnesota Supreme Court’s list of qualified mediators/arbitrators and one of a select group of attorneys acting as mediators for the Minnesota Court of Appeals family court mediation project.

Ms. Prince graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She is licensed to practice in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Ms. Prince is a member of the Minnesota State Bar, Wisconsin State Bar, the Douglas County Bar Association and the 11th District Bar Association (President 1997-98).  She also former chair of the 11th District Bar Association Ethics committee and currently serves on the Minnesota State Lawyer’s Board of Professional Responsibility.  She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Law and has served as both Chair and Board Member for the Minnesota State Bar Association Family Law Section.  She has taught Family Law and Litigation at the University of Wisconsin-Superior and is a frequent lecturer on various family law topics through Minnesota Continuing Legal Education.

Ms. Prince is also active in the community.  She serves or has served on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries, Duluth Area YMCA, Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army, Community Action-Duluth, Minnesota Continuing Legal Education and the Volunteer Attorney Program.  She is also a past recipient of the Volunteer Attorney Program’s Volunteer of the Year award.
