Hal Spott joined Hanft Fride as an Associate in May 2018. Spott is a fourth generation Duluthian and is thrilled to be practicing in his hometown. While in law school, he led the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition Team to multiple legal writing awards and spent a summer studying at Notre Dame Law School’s London, England campus. After law school and prior to joining Hanft Fride, Spott worked as a Star of the North Fellow with the State of Minnesota’s Department of Administration and also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Presiding Judge Roberto C. Naraja on the island of Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Spott is licensed to practice in the State of Minnesota.
